Start with the buyer
The current UAE e-invoicing scope addresses B2B and B2G transactions, subject to exclusions. Ordinary B2C transactions are outside the current scope. A business serving both companies and individuals should separate those transaction types.
Do not use one registration flag for everything
VAT registration and e-invoicing scope are separate assessments. Do not infer an e-invoicing exemption solely from not having a VAT registration. Review the actual entity, transaction and applicable exclusions.
An example to discuss with your accountant
A fictional service firm accepts individual bookings and corporate contracts. Keep a buyer-type field and separate the company legal details from the individual booking contact. Review ambiguous cases instead of silently assigning every invoice to B2C.
